Formula: problem in totalling times [SOLVED]

Hello There,

I have a formula which adds time. This total of time can exceed 24 hours. Somehow this doesn't work as expected:

Hi Don ,

Without looking at your file , my first guess would be the cell format ; when the total time exceeds 23:59:59 , the format has to be :

[h]:mm:ss

to display the hours of 24 and more.

Ctrl 1
Apply a Custom Number format of [h]:mm

I applied hh:mm to the cell, and wondering why is it not working, then came the truly ExcelNinjas . Thank you for your solution.

Amazing '[]' sign makes so much difference.
