Formula begins with {

I inherited a Excel 2003 model with the following formula.


{=SUM($BW618:CA618*$BW624:CA624)/SUM($BW624:CA624)}


The symbols { and } appear at the start and end of a formula but disappear

when entering edit mode on the cell. Also the formula cannot be changed as

pressing enter from the edit mode causes the formula to produce a differnt value.


Please help.

This is an array formula. Press Ctrl+Shift+enter when you enter the formula.
