Formatting multiple data points

I am trying to create a graph with two series. I am having both the bars from each series go under each category label, and want to have a color for each series. While I have accomplished the former one, I have some trouble doing the latter. However I can right click on each of the data point, and change colors individually, but what I would like to ideally see is if I can hold CTRL and change/format multiple data points at one time, so if I click to change color of the graph in series 2, all the bars in series 2 should change.

Any help is appreciated!

In Excel 2007/10 once you have the properties dialog open you can move it to the side and select new bars, points, axis, backgrounds etc and the properties dialog will then apply to the new opbject you have just selected
