Finding Best Match

Hello Excel Masters,

I have got a query which is a bit challenging, hoping it can be solved with excel.

Attached sheet shows value for Material column and there are three lookup columns, can a formula be created to find the best match for Material column.

Answer should be Lookup 2 highlighted in yellow, I would be delighted and amazed at the same time if a formula can be created to find the best match.

Regards,
Manny

Hi Manny,

Best match on what bases?

Hi xlstime,

In the sheet, I have got four columns, one for material and three lookup columns.

I require a formula to find the best match for Material column out of three lookup columns.

Is it possible through excel?

Hi Manny,

I was ready to give another solution, but I understand it is difficult for you to understand my solutions yet.:)

Haha David, that's true mate, I am a bit slow learner in excel but I give it a go. I would love to see what other ways you can solve this.
