Find and Replace

I use find and replace to replace some cell reference in a formula. I select some cells and I need only for those cells, find and replace takes place. It starts to replacing the value in the entire sheet. what is the solution?

Thank you for your quick response. Do you select some area and then you use find and replace?

Yes, you first select the area you wnat the operation to work on and then do the Find & Replace

I do, it works some of the time and not all the time. If I have copy and pasted the formula from another location, when I do find and replace, it starts changing the cells in the origin formulas as well. However, I only want the new data takes the change of find and replace.
