Filter and sort grayed out

I have built a workbook using existing conditions that ties to another excel document. In the new built workbook, I have a series of tables arranged vertically which have been pulled off various tabs from the original document. In the new workbook, I cannot sort and filter the entire sheet (I can s&f each table area) because the Filter and Sort are grayed out. Suggestions?

No problems with Filter or Sort at my end

Each Table is independent as they should be

Please explain what your doing ?

I would like to be able to sort all tables together on the sheet. Is there a way to make the tables non independent?
