excel hanging

hai everyone...
i am doing daily works on excel. using window 8.1 64 bit & office 2016.
daily i have update values in 8 Lakhs records(source) from 6 lakhs (target)
using vlookup. but it is hanging my sytem. taking too much time.
i have tighred regarding this issue. please help me any one.

Perhaps replace VLOOKUP with INDEX/MATCH combination. It should be faster.
Any array formulas?
Post the sheet so we can have a look at it(btw what is a lakh?)

Hi buddy, the best solution probably will be to get an extra SSD, that will solve your problem and also save money from buying a new laptop.
