EXCEL FORMULA

well sorry for the late reply... bro...well i have 2007...:) well in inventory...sheet..there are genset no's rite...so i want the average of Hr meter and average of no. of days in front them... for e.g

Sheet Inventory!

Sno......GENSET......Avg HR Meter......Avg No. of Days

1........abc-123.....

2........bcd.........

3........efg.........

4........hij.........

Show check the Average of abc-123 in the Sheet.Database! that what is the Average HR Meter REading and should reflect it in from of the ABC-123 in the Inventory! sheet

Well HR meter is basically a Meter Reading its similar to A bikes/cars mileage Meter...

It sounds like the 2 averages would be based on the previous 2 formula columns. If so, you can just do a couple of AVERAGEIF functions.

Avg HR Meter:

=AVERAGEIF('Database'!B:B,B2,'Database'!G:G)

Avg Days:

=AVERAGEIF('Database'!B:B,B2,'Database'!H:H)

Avg days & Avg Meter:

Shows #DIV/0! if there is no Data found!for both avg so it could create error if i design a report and get data from inventory and database
