Excel and Powerpoint Charting

HI Everyone,

I need a little help on charts in powerpoint and excel.

Being a little new to charts, can someone help me out with axis break in charts?

Problem: I have sales figures for our one product for 5 years i.e. 2007-1,324 mn 2008-2 mn 2009-1.6 mn 2010-2.3 mn and 2011-7.6 mn. Now as the figure for year 2007 is quite high compared to other years, columns in chart are almost invisible for year 2008 to 2011. I know it can be done through y-axis break (term always use my boss but never want to disclose it!!) but don't know how to do it.

Help will be appreciated, if someone suggest the methode of y-axis or x-axis break for other chart types too.

Thanking in advance.

Regards!
