Excel 2007 Pivot Table. Colour around the tables.

Hi,

I have created pivot tables and around the pivot tables I have used the background colour grey as a fill colour.

When the pivot is changed it shows white underneath.

How can I make this so it shows grey underneath

I do have other colours in the worksheet.

Many Thanks.

I found that it is easier to control a drunken monkey's typing than Pivot table formatting. My suggestion is simple.

Use pivot for generating the values you want.

Use a separate view sheet where you fetch pivot values with either getpivotdata or simple linked cells

Then format the view sheet anyway you want.

Thanks I have many of these. I also wanted to display the data in changin gpivots with a grey border.....

Only other idea I had was to have a program that runs if white is found then change to grey. all pivots would be a colour and the background would change from white to grey via a VBA script.

Thanks.

Best Idea I could Find !!
