excel 2003 and 10 installed together

Hi experts,


I have installed 2003 and 10 together in my system.It seems all my files are opening in 2010 excel but how can i use both version as my choice.Also the file is taking long time to open as all are opening in 10 version.Is there any drawback.what can be the consequences of having both.

Please advice.

I would create a shortcut to the 2003 executable file on your desktop. Then, if you want to run in 2003, you'll need to open the 2003 shortcut and then open the file from within that instance.

Seems good,can you tell me exact location where exe file of 2003 excel is saved so taht in can create a shortcut.

For future readers, the executable will probably be here:

C:program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11Excel.exe

Another way is using the Open With feature of the right (or alternative) mouse button from within Windows Explorer. Select an .xls file, right button, Open With, first time browse towards the path provided by Luke M (or the actual path if you installed Office on a custom folder), and next times, choose Excel 2003.
