Hi all

I have large spreadsheet with simple formulas, however this spreadsheet has become corrupt. About twice a month when I open this workbook - this error message appears

error034360_03.xml "following is a list of removed records:">

<removedRecord>Removed Records:shared formula

from/xl/worksheets/sheet12.xml part</removedRecord>

<removedRecord>Removed Records:Formla from /xl/calcChain.xlm part

(Calculation properties)</removedRecord>

</removedRecords>

<recoverylog>

It removes the formulas at random, sometime it can affect 2sheets and other time can affect 10 sheets. I have to re- check the individual sheets and input the formulas again.

Any help will be appreciate to de-bug this error - Why does this error occur???

Cheers

Have a look at any external connections that the file might have.

That is Connections via the Data, Connections Tab

It sounds as though one of them may be broken.

Have you tried opening the File with the File; Open & Repair option ?

It's accessed from the Drop Down next to the Open Button

If that doesn't help try saving it as either a Excel 97-03 format and re-import it or save as an Open Document Spreadsheet and re-import

Hi Hui

Thanks for quick reply, where is connections tab?

Please advise

Open & Repair option - will this stop the error occurring - converting formulas to numbers? please advise

Big thanks:)

In Excel 2007/10 Connections are on The Data Tab

Open and Repair does an internal file check, it has nothing to do with copying formulas to numbers?

When in doubt, backup first.

Hi Hui

Error message appearred again today - then I open the file by the "Open & Repair option" has suggested.

however it repairs the file by converting removed formulas by converting then to numbers?

Which then had input the formula gain?

So using the option "Open & Repair" - would this prevent it occurring again??

regards

Toshi
