Elegant/pretty spreadsheets

Hi,


Can someone give me advice on how to make my spreadsheets better looking? I am not at all artistic and I want to make my spreadsheets (not charts, graphs) more elegant looking with nice colors and fonts. I have no color sense and everything I try looks very amateurish. Is there anything on Chandoo.org or elsewhere where I can download templates or is there someplace that I can go for advice on "graphic design" for Excel? Doing calculations is one thing... making it presentable for an audience is entirely another thing altogether and something I struggle with.

I'd suggest looking at what other do and seeing how those ideas fit with your existing corporate style. If your focus is on accounting or engineeing or medical etc, visits sites which deal with those topics and spreadsheets and see what others are doing.


There aren't any sites that I'm aware of that specifically cover spreadsheet styles, of course now that I've said that, several people will point us in the right direction
