Dynamically referenced formatting in conditional formatting

Hey all, I'm trying to determine if there is a way to have the conditional formatting set by a reference. Let me try to explain that better. I have quite a lot of conditional formatting in a sheet that is dynamically linked to a value in a data table. I would like to set the formatting to the formatting of a reference cell adjacent to the value in that table. In this way, I could change the formatting throughout the entire workbook by updating the table. Please ask clarifying questions because I am clearly struggling to explain this.

I don't believe that is possible without using VBA to assign the formats to the CF.

Thanks for the suggestion Narayan, here you are. How can I tie the conditional formatting in the example table to formatting column on the left? This would allow me to change the formatting of any one selection on the left and update the entire workbook saving a lot of time in my live workbook that has hundreds of cells formatted conditionally.

Hi ,

If the starting row in the table is the same as the starting row in the reference column B , there should not be any problem.

I cleared the CF rules in the table , and in the CF rules for the column B , I added the range reference $E$7:$U$28 in the Applies To box.

Now the CF in both areas is tied together.
