Greetings!
I'm looking for an excel function or a series of functions to calculate overlapping times on a schedule.
An example to help refine my search:
Say I'm tracking 7 different dogs.
They leave their kennel to visit the park for several hours a day.
I want to track what time they enter and leave the park. Then with those times for all 7 throughout the day, see which times overlapped and by how much.
finding a total time is as easy as TIME OUT - TIME IN = TOTAL
Unfortunately after browsing some threads I was unable to find anything that would tell me more than just IF the times overlapped.
In theory the end project here would tell me how much time any combination of dogs spent time together in the park for 1 day. From there I can extrapolate the data to build a social study over weeks, months, and even years.
