DMS template assistance reequired

Dear All,

I have a tmplate that is primarily to use Document transmittal and tracking.
Based on COlumn H status i.e if i make close then entire row record should lock and not editable.
if Column H status is open then the entire row record is able to editable.
Note the row should only lock if COLH i.e final status DOCs is close.

Please assist.

but Your sample file was not a template-file.
Here, one sample of file which has Your named features,
but it is not a template-file.
Ps. Did You specify - when status would be as final status?
This sample acts then status would be as You have named.

Unable to open this file . The binary excel file is not readable in excel 2007.
Any alternative way ?

I want one more condition in docTRans.xlsm file that in col H if value close then row record appear in sorted order .
i mean as soon as i select or change col H value to close then close record row should appear in order of close and then open rows accordingly
i.e the all close option in col H should appear first and then open row appear.

Why did You write #5? ... if You do not use it? as You wrote with #10 reply ... hmm?
Cells are protected by default, You need to modify those as needs as I have done too.

Sir,
The above attachment become protected for all rows. But it should lock the records only those rows that have colO as close.
I copied the same code and changed the range accordingly.

But the whole sheet become protected.

Did You read my the last line sentence?
Did You do as I write? ( You need to modify those as needs as I have done too. )
Try next
1) create a new Excel-file
2) select any of cell - any
3) select from menu Format > Cells...
4) select Protection
5) see that cell's Locked checkbox has selected
>> all cells has that option (Locked) as default - understood?
>> after Protect-sheet ... all cells are Locked
and if Protection will do as below
then ... can select all cells ... but cannot edit!

This is same kind of case with .. cars.
If You go to parking area
and
You open (unlock) one cars door.
You could open ... one cars door (other would keep closed (locked) ).
... default would be that all cars door should be closed (and locked) then cars are in parking area.
If You lock that cars door
then all cars doors are locked.
BUT
if You would like to do something like with Your rows ...
then all cars door should unlock (doors could be open or close)
( I asked You to do this with Your file as I has done )
and
after You lock one cars door ( and close it too)
then
only that cars door will be locked (and closed)
