Disabling 'insert row' within a range of cells

Hi,

I want to somehow disable the 'insert row' feature within an array of cells (A15:L94), but in a way that still allows people to edit the data within the array. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Hi Pip,

You can try this:
  • Select all cells you want to allow to be edited (ctrl + A for every cell in the sheet)
  • Go to "Format Cells..." (ctrl +1 or in the menu via right click on any of the selected cells)
  • Go to the "Protection"-tab
  • Uncheck the "Locked"-box and press OK
  • Go to the "Review"-tab in the ribbon and click on "Protect Sheet" (or press the following sequence: Alt > R > P > S )
  • Check every action you want to allow the user to perform and press OK
  • ...
  • Profit!
PS - This isn't foolproof, so please keep this in mind.

Hi, my friend!
Good evening.
Yes, there's something foolproof in Excel: security looks like an Emmenthal cheese.
Regards!
