diabetic sugar chart

JAMINDER BIBRA

New Member
i am recording the sugar levels on a daily hourly basis
though i can create a simple chart showing sugar level versus time but
-i need to add additional vertical lines at the time of breakfast lunch and dinner
-i need to add vertical markers for the time i had medicine, snacks, exercise
-ineed to bracket the horizontal axis so that it can also show the dates and time and bracket the time on an hourly basis so that even if the sample is taken at 645 am it will show between 6 and 7 am
thanx

Please see attached file:

I think that answers Points 1 & 2

For the bracketing I'd add another column and do some maths in that to determine the correct Date/Time range and then chart that as the X Axis

pls update the excel file
-the solution was apt but if u see the reading for 8 april the dinner was taken at 10 pm therefore the vertical should be at 10pm whereas it is at 8pm--same for other meals
-could we have filtering of the chart so that in case i want to see the sugar levels at a prticular time and date of the my choosing say on 19 apr at 3pm
am att the xls file

Good day JAMINDRA what are you using to check your blood sugars, I use an AccuCheck Mobile and it comes with software that does all you want to achieve, testing blood sugars every hour seems to be a bit extreme...:(

.

OneTouch Ultra 2 Glucometer
ya you are right -just had a bout of hypo as u can see from the chart --for no apparent reason
i was having my meds and exercise as usual--suddenly the sugar dropped to 45 just prior to lunch- and we all know the sinking feeling--this happened after almost three years of steady readings
i was just trying to chart out the peaks--probably once the nervousness settles down i will go back to the meal time checks
thanx for asking
any way of making the excel file better to extract more info
example extrapolate what would be the sugar at a particular time
or calculate hb1ac
or have an intersect when i have had a walk or meals or meds
regards

Good day Jaminder, I am not sure how easy it is for you to change your tester, but if I where you I would be trying the get the Accu check mobile with the built in software.

I am not sure of the cost, I believe it is around £24,00, but here in the UK I get the tester, strips and needles for nothing.

Reading your posts I do believe the perfect solution for your erratic blood sugars would be a pump so that you would have no worries, no peaks and no troughs.
