Development and Operations Period charts

Hi,

I am trying to create a development and operations period chart to show the revenue, expenses and interest paid in one chart.

The chart will have to plot following on primary axis:

revenue (Item 1) as a column graph, expenditure (Item 2 and Item 3) also as a column graph and interest paid (Item 4) as a line graph.

The chart will have to plot follwoing on secondary axis:

Construction period and Development period

The idea is to distinguish visually between the construction and development period and to highlight the data variations between these two period.

I tried plotting the const and dev periods as column graphs on the secondary axis (I played around with the formatting to make the axis labels invisible) with maximum overlap and no gap between columns to make it appear like a continuous. (I tried the area graph, but it gives me a sloped structure when value goes from 1 to 0 or vice-versa)

Problem is I am not able to format the horizontal axis properly and the Items 1 - Item 3 are now hidden behind the secondary axis

Is there any way to rectify this please! I am struggling to come up with a solution and am now desperate!

Any help will be so much appreciated!
