Determine if employee worked during specific quarter

I am attempting to determine if an employee worked during a specific quarter, based on HireDate and TermDate.
I have found examples for looking at one month but not over a quarter.

I've attached a file of how the final results should look, but I would like a formula to do the work (otherwise, what good is Excel and learning Excel Ninja skills).

I think the formula will need to be a compound formula and look at two separate variables but I am at a loss on how to visualize the formula.

Faseeh, my most sincere apologies! I had been working on a very large file and turned off the autorecalc until I had finished and forgot to turn it back on.

Hui - wow, a double "AND" statement within an "OR" statement. NOW I see the solution.
