Date/Time BIG Problem, Need Help

I have one problem in Excel that I cant solve, regarding working hours.

I need to divide one day (24h format) into 4 parts > 08-16h, 16-22h, 22-06h and 06-08h.

What I am trying to accomplish is that if I enter working hours for one employee, for example: from 19h to 07h next day, I want Excel to divide working hours for this employee by the parts stated above (4 parts in one day or 24h) giving me how many hours of the given part is taken and the name of that part (lets say part 16-22h is called "Second part" and its 3 hours, part 22-06h is called "Third part" and its 6 hours, etc).

If some one can solve this vba/function that would be AWESOME!!!

Thanx in advance.

Time shifts are a common problem we see here on the forums. Perhaps one of these will help you?

Also, if you've read the stickey at the top of the forum, you'd see that it's somewhat impolite to "demand" help right away. Note that everyone on here is a volunteer, and a good portion of the readers are on the weekend already.

sorry for my impoliteness, I will publicly apologize if I have ruined someones weekend,

thanks for the links BTW, helped allot,

Glad to help, and no worries. I choose to be optimistic and assume the best about people. =)
