Data Source not found on Charts

Hi,

I have created a chart in excel with some data. I then copy pasted the chart on a slide in powerpoint and mailed and it to my colleague. The problem that i face is :


When i try to edit the data on the chart, i am able to do so as i have the source excel file present with me. However, when my colleague tries to edit the data he gets an error message which says that source not available.


Is there a way in which i could link the source file to the chart so that anybody can update the chart with data at any point of time? Or would i need to send along the source excel file as well?


Any help would be appreciated.

Try to create the chart inside the powerpoint.
