Data ranges by colour in a scatter chart

I have a simple xy scatter chart where i wish to also see data ranges by colour of the x axis, projected in the chart area. If there are any suggestions, it would be a great help. Thank you.

A Combionation chart will do what you want

Select data with an X Axis and 2 series of data to Chart

Insert a Scatter Chart

Select 1 series and convert it to a Column Chart

Adjust Column values to suit

Change colors and other formatting to suit

Thanks for the welcome and the help.


Apologies, I realise that I was not specific enough. In addition to the xy scatter, I want x axis values that project a specific data range i.e 0.3- 0.7 , 0.7 - 1.6 and 1.6+ where the x data values are 0- 70. With each of these 'ranges' I want to colour code to the top y value. Is this possible?
