Dashboard Launch window question/challenge??

I have been searching and unable to find a way to use an active excel chart (actually 4 of them)on one worksheet as a launch window. What I would like is to have four charts for the user to select from. These charts would be live and update as data is refreshed, but take you to a full page of the chart, with dynamic selectors, and drillable. Thought tying a URL to it might do the trick - not.

I know I can use a graphic, or image to be the jump point, but as the type of data is ongoing financial data (added every month) a static image would be wrong 11 out of 12 months. I could use full size charts on the worksheet, but then the user must scroll around. If I use small charts, all the senior folks complain of the size.

any other ideas or is there a solution???

Put each of your four charts in their respective information page. Select the CELLS (not the graph object) behind the first graph. Copy the cells. Then, paste+special Linked Picture. It will result in a dragable, resizable image that updates when your graph updates. Click on each image and -- in the formula bar -- add the sheet name (so they can be moved to another sheet without issues).

If you do this for each graph, then copy those images and paste them on the Launch page, you can resize them and they're automatically hyperlinks to the location of the information.

Good luck

WOW - took me a minute to get the right selection under PASTE in 2007 -

PASTE -> AS Picture -> PASTE PICTURE LINK - but then it works great

The note on Add the worksheet is crucial otherwise you get a bunch of the cells with the chart in a corner when you copy to another page

Thanks - should have asked you guys days ago - this is really a neat add and as promised - it updates as data or in my case using dynamic data - when you select a checkbox on the chart - the little image also updates
