Customize the Ribbon

Debraj

Excel Ninja
In 'Customize the Ribbon' Section,

in Right Hand Size Tree View, there was a TAB named 'Background Removal' with two sub tree Refine & Close and some more (after expand)..

They are always Disable.

If (They due my any ADD_INS?) (I don't think so.. as they are really looks like Microsoft Created.)

"No need to Comments "

Else

* Is this only available in 2010? (I never found this in any office <= 12 version)

* How to hide a Ribbon Menu with check box = TRUE? (as they are not visible in the Ribbon)

* Why they are there?

End If.

I have tried to read Excel.officeUI XML also, but no Clue..

Please Help..

@mail3denraj,

1. These are not due to any addins on your system.

2. There are options that are Context relative, like the Pivot Tab become available when you are working with a Pivot.

3. How to make them hidden is a good point to ponder on, something that I have not done lately... there might be someone else who would be able to answer this one.. or I will once i figure it out...

Background Removal

-------------------

These commands allow you to work on removing backgrouds from images that you may insert in your document.

For example

Insert any picture which has a background that you do not want on you sheet.

Select the picture on your sheet and then click on the Picture Tools (Format) Tab.

Click on the First button Remove Backgroud

You will now notice a new Tab on the ribbon contains the options that you saw in the Customize section...

Go ahead and play with the picture
