Count Numbers Vertical with total in next column

I would like to count these automatically. I have uploaded an example with the numbers how I would like them displayed. The actual position of the number is not important as long as I get the count of how many 1's are in a vertical line or 8's or 5's etc...

My bingo is just as good as my tap-dancing. So I am unable to understand how the count is 2 when corresponding numbers are 9 & 9. Why is it 5 when the numbers are 8 & 8. Can you explain what is the logic for counting?

Hi Larry,

Not sure what file you have, but this is the latest file that I have. Please try it and let me know if you still have problems.

cheers

I am running it but iy seems to be running a long time I entered 1000 rows and it has been running ow for 25 minutes. Your thoughts?

I don't know if this makes a difference. Last time my files were all EVEN counted amount of numbers. What I mean is like two 8's, or four 8's or six 8's. Here I have ODD and EVEN some sets of numbers have three 8's or four 8's. Plus you can count the 9's on this one the same as any other number. I'm on,y interested in counting hiw many numbers are in each set vertically. Make sense?

Hi Jack,

Look at the attached file, I have used the data from your file, please look at the structure of the data, you will note that I have inserted a couple of rows at the top, the data starts in Column A, the columns G through to AW have been copied down to all rows EXCEPT the last row.

There are 4 processes that run, so you will get 4 messages.

Hope it works.

cheers

Kanti,

I'm on my iPad but will look at this tonight and report back. I've been messing around with Macros and trying something as well lol. Thank you sir!

I am not sure how long this should take to run. I have 2000 rows I am trying to do and so far its been 35 minutes. I will let it complete its task and let you know
