Copying every nth cell from one worksheet to adjacent cells on another

I used to be able to get offset to work, but I've lost the plot here this afternoon ...

I'm trying to copy cells a1,d1,g1,j1 etc to A1,B1,C1,D1 on another

Of course if it was just four I'd copy each one, but this worksheet is massive ...

As usual, your assistance is greatly appreciated

OK - I solved using Indirect and Address!

=INDIRECT(ADDRESS(97,COLUMN()*3,4,1,"Sheet X"))

=OFFSET("Sheet X"!$A$1,,(COLUMNS($A$1:A1)-1)*3)

=OFFSET("Sheet X"!$A$1,,(COLUMNS($A$1:A1)-1)*3)

If you want a Non-Volatile solution you could use:
=INDEX("Sheet X"!$A$1:$J$1,,1+(COLUMNS($A$1:A1)-1)*3)
