I want the cell to turn red if the cell is empty and cell P10 is empty.
One you fix this I will need to do this all on cells from B10 to p10 - unles you have a quick fix for that.

You asked a solution for something like below:
Applies to: $B$10:$B$109
Rule: =AND(B10="",Q10="")
... but is it something which You thought to ask?
... because You had there (B10's conditional formatting) something ... else

I am sorry if i am confusing. I would like to have the case where a cell (B10) will be coloured red if it is empty and if the q10 is NOT blank.
Is please possible to add to excel since I do not understand the above.
thanks for the time and effort.

sorrry!!!!!!!

Is there is a quick way if if I want to do for all cells in the range from AND(B10="",Q10<>"")
at the b10 wil be for all cells from b10 to p100 and the q10 will be for all cells from q10 to 100.
if not I will do one by one.

you asked in the other thread to extend to P10

if so then
slight change to the formula - so Q is fixed
=AND(B10="",$Q10<>"")

for 2007, 2010 , 2013 , 2016 , 2019 or 365 Subscription excel version
Conditional Formatting

Highlight applicable range >>
B10 : P10 - Change, reduce or extend the rows to meet your data range of rows

Home Tab >> Styles >> Conditional Formatting
New Rule >> Use a formula to determine which cells to format
Edit the Rule Description: Format values where this formula is true:
=AND(B10="",$Q10<>"")

Format [Number, Font, Border, Fill]
choose the format you would like to apply when the condition is true
OK >> OK

all in 1 go

if you want to do more rows
then
same formula
But select the rows to apply
B10 : P100000 or how many rows to apply to

all in 1 go

so dont have to do each cell
