Condition formatting blues...

Hi all!
What the best way to manage conditional formatting esp when the tables get long and you've inadvertently had to copy paste in rows?
I've noticed that the rules with CFS get fragmented cell references and replicate them over and over again until it becomes quite hard to follow and edit these, esp if you turn to all formating in the worksheet.
Sometimes i have to clear all and start again.. and this can be painful as you will appreciate.
Any advice on best practice or dealing with such situations?

One little piece of advise: try converting your data to Excel Table and structure them.

How do you remove the Filter drop downs that appear when you convert it into a table?!

Thanks Narayan, looks complicated! Why couldn't MS just keep it simple. They should allow the filter switch to still be on dont you think?
