Colouring every second row to improve readability of large datasets

Hi,

I had a formula that was successful in the older versions on Excel that coloured every second row and made reading of separate long lines of data much better.

Since upgrading to excel 2007 worksheet, I cannot now find how I can enter the same formula.

the formula is... =mod9row(),2)<>0
i.e.
= Format when the condition is true (i.e. then colour row gray or green, or yellow etc)

For some unknown reason excel 2007 will not allow me to enter this old formula?

Any tips Guys?

Regards Clive

Psynce, Your formula will return a 1 for Odd Rows and a 0 for even rows
The <>0 converts the 1's to True and 0's to False

You could try tables also as an alternative and they come in lot of predefined formats so all data can look dapper in seconds.

However, it also brings in some behavioral changes which you may or may not like.
