Cmd+T does not work for toggling absolute/relative in Excel Mac 2008

I know that Cmd+T can be used as an equivalent to F4 in a PC to toggle absolute vs. relative cell references. However, even when I am in edit mode, if I click command + T, nothing happens. It just stays the same. It doesn't seem that this shortcut is assigned to any function at all.

My question is, has anyone else experienced this and 2) can I manually assign a shortcut to this function? After looking through "Customize Keyboard" where you set up shortcuts, I don't really see anything that refers to the absolute toggle. How is it referred to? Can you even find it in the Customize Keyboard section?

Thanks in advance to the community!

I assume by Command + T you mean Press

+ T ?

That is the correct keyboard shortcut

The cursor has to be on or next to the Reference for it to work

Have you installed any other software that could have grabbed the

+ T combination as a keyboard shortcut, I am thinking like Screen Capture utils etc

Thank you Hui! I didn't know that you had to put the cursor inside/next to the reference. I had a very long formula and so just had my cursor toward the beginning, which explains why it wasn't having any effect. Thanks again!

Each reference is seperate and can be toggled individually to suit your needs
