I want to highlight the text/value that is found repeated in Competitor data when compared to Client data.

You can also use MATCH in CF rule, simply put below formula in CF:

=MATCH(A2,'Client Data'!$A$2:$A$4,0)

Yes that's a perfect solution that I am looking after, I just convert both sheets into tables to be dynamically updated whenever there is any addition made.
