Clicking cell on a worksheet selects data on a second worksheet after applying filters

Hello Everyone

I am a relative newbie when it comes to the usage of excel. I am facing a particular challenge in excel. In my excel sheet, there are two worksheets- a dashboard which captures the effectiveness of employees (calculates the %ge of calls made and %ge of meetings attended). There is a 2nd worksheet "details" which has the complete details about the calls and visits made by the employee. I have attached the excel sheet for your reference.

Problem:

(1) Cells which are part of columns D/E/G/H of the "dashboard" worksheet should be populated from the "details" worksheet

(2) Clicking on the cells which are part of columns F/I of the "dashboard" worksheet should open up the "details" worksheet and display only the relevant data. for eg- if I click on cell F2, it must open up the "details" worksheet and should filter on column B (should select call) and column D should have the relevant date along with the other columns.

Would be really thankful to anyone who can help me in solving these challenges .

Just to clarify the problem in a better manner-

1) The dashboard worksheet contains the number of customer meetings and calls made. This data should be populated from the "details" worksheet where one can count the number of calls/visits.

2) Clicking on the "%ge of calls" and "%ge of visits" cell in the "dashboard" worksheet must open the "details" worksheet only for the corresponding employee - so that the manager can see whats going right and whats going wrong from the commenst section. But I am not able to link the "%ge ... " cells to the "details" worksheet by displaying only the relevant filtered data.

Any leads/suggestions on the formula that I can try out will be very useful.

Hi Debraj

Thank you so much for the help. It is perfect-just the output that I was looking for. Thanks a ton ! :)

Can you also tell me how you are able to generate the 2nd output- filtering out on the "details" worksheet by clicking on the coloured cell in the "Employee count" worksheet ? I understood the countifs formula that you used for the first part. But was not able to figure out the way in which you derived the output for the 2nd half . Your feedback will be really helpful.

Once again thanks a ton !

Regards
Sriram
