Checkboxes, Conditional Formatting and Formula issue

Zach

Member
This issue touchs a bit further from my excel abilities but I'm super eagar to learn if this can be done. My company wants to track the progress of communities we are building (I'm in home construction).
The file I'm uploading shows in column C what dates things are to be completed by, and all the dates are affected by what date is in cell C51. I've put in a check box and tried to create a conditional formatting so that when the check box was clicked the cell would change colors. But I can't seems to figure it out.
My company wanted to just replace the dates with the word "complete" but as they did that it would error out all the other formulas in the corresponding cells.

I'd like some guidance to help assist in a company issue.

Thanks~ Zach

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

In C52 you can do something like: =IF(O51,"Completed",C51+A52)

Which cells should show "Completed" by the Tick of the Check Box?
