Hi Experts,
I Need your help to check first name, last name & company name first work in email id

eg. prashant.jagtap@abccompany.com

column a = first name
column b = last name
column c= company name (ABC LTD)

i need a formula to check if email id contains first name or last name and a other formula to check if email id contains first word (ABC) of company name

Hi Prashant ,

You have given exactly one example of an email ID ; you have not given any examples of what will be the data which will need to be matched against this email ID.

Please give at least 5 examples of both , data to be matched , email IDs against which the data has to be matched.

Let your examples be as close to real-life ( working ) data as possible.

Hi Prashant ,

Thanks for the data file. I am reproducing it below :

Code:
Nitin Shelke Nitin.shelke@infosystems.com Info Systems India Pvt Ltd
Amit Patil Apatil@rsales.com Royal Sales Ltd
Anil Apte Aapte@nikhildata.com Nikhil Data Systems
Nilesh Shelke shelken@yahoo.com Royal Cab Services
Vijay Kamble Vijay.kamble@gmail.com Shivam Data systems
Raosaheb Kolte r.kolte@koltetours.com Kolte Tours & Travels
In the first item , the email ID has infosystems , while the company name is Info Systems.

In the second item , the email ID has rsales , while the company name is Royal Sales.

In the third item , the email ID has nikhildata , while the company name is Nikhil Data.

In the sixth and last item , the email ID has koltetours , while the company name is Kolte Tours.

Matching the company name with what is present in the email ID is a matter of eliminating spaces in the company name , and in one case matching only the second word instead of the first two.

Will this take care of all cases ? Or at least the majority ?

Hi Prashant ,

If the domain has to contain the first word of the company name , then what should the result in the case of :
Code:
Amit Patil Apatil@rsales.com Royal Sales Ltd
The word Royal does not appear in the email ID.
