CF with arrow icons

Hello all..... here's my problem.

Personnel     Approved     Engaged     On duty

C/Staff         196          195         197
Tech            149          176         175
Assembly        415          403          90
Packing          59           59         197

I have done CF in col C2 using the arrow icons.

If the value is 196, a Horizontal arrow & the value 196 appear in the same cell C2.

If the value is 195 ( or less),a Down arrow & the value 195 or....appear in the same cell.

If the value is 197 ( or more ), an Up arrow & the value 197 or....appear in the same cell.

How do i repeat the CF for the other staff....Tech, Assembly, Packing, etc...

Just select the cell which already has the CF ; click on Format Painter , select the other cells to which you wish to apply the CF.

Many thanks NARAYANK.....this may sound strange, but i am unable to locate the format painter on my Mac......

Typically, its on the Home group, but now its missing...????

Will find the missing FP and try out ur solution and let u know.

Hello Narayan.....the Format Painter doesn't solve the CF in other cells for Tech, Assembly & Packing, simply because the "Approved" values are different.

Can u suggest another solution....

I don't understand ; do you mean that the threshold for each of the categories Tech , Assembly and Packing is different ?


Do you want the GREEN , AMBER and RED arrows at different levels in each category ?


196 was your first cutoff ; is this the same for Tech , Assembly and Packing , or is it different in each case ?

Hello Narayan....GOT IT!. Thanks 4 the Format Painter tip.

After doing FP 4 each category i then did.....CF--> Manage Rules -->Edit Rule.....and i had2 only change the "values" 4 each category which r different, as u will c in my Q.
