Cell remains blank

Hi,

I wonder why when the result is true on =IF(AND(F$8>=$D9, F$8<=$E9),"1",""), the cell does not display "1". I understand that the 1 is not treated as a number.

Should you want to display the result in : "1"

Then, try this :

=IF(AND(F$8>=$D9,F$8<=$E9),"""1""","")

Regards
Bosco

Thanks Bosco! However, I would like to know the logic behind why it remains blank. Screenshot attached. Cell is filled light blue through a conditional formatting rule but the cell text color itself is not white, thus the question.
