Hi - I'm a first time forum user so hopefully this is ok!! I am using excel 2007, I have formatted a workbook so all cells have wrap text as part of cell format but if I copy/paste text into a single height cell, it is not automatically extending to display all text - I have to double click on row line to display correctly

I tried reproducing your problem ; as far as I can see this happens when you have formatted the row height to a value other than the default.
If you have not formatted the row heights on the worksheet , then when you copy the cell which has the wrapped text , the destination cell automatically extends to display the entire text.
But if you have formatted the row heights , then when you copy the cell , the destination cell retains its formatted height , and does not extend to display the entire text.
