CAN YOU CONVERT JPEG TO EXCEL

I know you can convert an excel file to a jpeg but can you convert a jpeg to an excel file? I have a lot of numbers on a sheet that was mailed to me (actually over 50 sheets with 100 numbers) I was wondering if I scan them into a jpeg can iI convert them into excel? Do they make such software?

Do you mean as in:
The background to a worksheet
Where each pixel is a colored cell or
Where the contents of the JPG are OCR and inserted into the file?

1 is easy
2 is possible
3 needs external software

Number 3 Hui , I have looked on line and downloaded 2 software packages trials and none of them will do it correctly

Have a look at some online OCR / JPG convertors
You generally need a 200dpi jpg or better and convert it to 2 bit Black/White JPG for better results
