I am using these spreadsheets to tabulate scores and rank contestant in a pageant in 2 weeks. I was wondering if someone could check these and make sure my formula are working correctly?

Sorry, I didn't mean to say it was OK. I get a bit lost when there's formula in more than 2-3 cells. So I'd rather not push my luck, and let it pass for other minds to validate.

You have done a lot of work, it would not take much more to run some dummy data that you enter to check...I am not a fan of pageant's with small children so cannot help.

Probably if you gave more details ? Your few words :

make sure my formula are working correctly

are too general to convey much ; which formula(s) and what is the definition of correctly ?

As far as I can see , there are only a few columns which are significant , and the rest are all variations on these :

PHASE
PHASE PHASE + TIE BREAKER
PHASE TOTAL RANKING + TIE BREAKER RANKING

The column labelled Phase Ranking has the following formula :

=AJ6+ROW(B1)/100000

Why have you chosen this , when the RANK function ranks items within a range ? Will the totals in column AJ be in sorted order ?

What are the different tabs for ? Will the formulae be similar in all the tabs ? If this is the case , then the ideal way to go about this is to set up one worksheet as a template , and check and double-check everything in it ; once you are sure , then just copy this worksheet several times , and then just edit the text in those copies. You don't need to look at the formulae in the copied worksheets.
