Can I get back a deleted worksheet?

I'm writing a new VBA macro and apparently it deleted a worksheet I definitely didn't want to delete. (Ack, and other comments.) I can find an older copy of that worksheet in an older version of the workbook, and it won't take me more than half an hour to bring it back up to date. But for future reference, when that happens, does MS Excel keep backups around where I can get at them? The trick is that I saved the workbook, not realizing what I lost, so maybe Excel deletes the backups when I do a save and I am, in that case, SOL?

The only other case I know is that if you have activated the 'Save Autorecovery information, default is 5 min' (menu Option/Save) you could have a backup file which can be retrieved via 'Restore unsaved workbooks' and loose only 5 min of work.
But, as you said, I confirm that Excel deletes the backups once the file has been saved.
