Bar chart only with one bar.

Hi friends,

I came to notice number of chart with single Bar, i am trying to figure out same for may data from A5:A11, I am getting many Bar for each value in data, how to make it one bar, could any one tell me the step to do dat.

I'm not sure what you mean Hanim. If you just want one bar, that would just be a single value loaded into the chart. If you want to have charts for A5:A11, I would take that to mean that you want 7 different charts? Can you post an example of what you have/want?

Thanks for your time.

I have different value in A5:A15 as below
23 10 43 25 67 34 36 56 34 19 71

when i insert chart i wanted to show variation in value in one single bar example :- these value to show in different colour and width according to the amount.

hope i conveyed my question.

If you select A5:A15
Goto Insert, 2D Bar, Clustered Bar
A Bar chart will appear
You can select the chart, then select a single bar and change it's color

If you meant Column Chart instead select a column chart instead of a bar chart

Is that not what you want ?

If you want to vary the width, that is a bit trickier, but have a read of:

Hi Hanim,

Select your data , goto Insert, 2d Bar select stacked bar.
Then click on any bar , right click & select option "Select Data".
Then you will see "Select Data Source" window. Then click on button "Switch Row/Column" & its done.
You will see one bar with variation in value. i.e. you will see each different color for each value.
