Bank reference number
Dear Sir,
I have bank Transaction reference number which I wanted to copy in excel for applying V lookup but when I copy it from bank statement and paste into excel it get converted into format where I can’t see the numbers and apply v lookup.
I have attached image from bank statement and excel sheet after pasting reference number.
Can you please advice.

You'll need to format the column as "TEXT" and not number and/or paste in the value as text.

Excel will only hold up to 15 significant digits for numeric value. Since it's reference # (i.e. ID #), you won't be using it in mathematical calculation (only as lookup value etc), so treat it as string/text.

Dear Sir,
If the number format worked, I would not ask the question,
Since the Transaction number is large, number format is not working.

Copy your numbers from ur source and format your column as text where u want to paste.. and paste special as value or as text.
