automatic stock quote in excel

besides marco & VBA, any simple way to get automatic stock quote?

I learnt using hyperlink to get external data directly, but the data got is a whole page, not the last price only.

I would like to get:

1/ a excel table with >50 stock no. (want to get the last price only)

2/ HK stock item, not US items, what source should I retreive (yahoo seems not suitable)?

3/ how to automatic update?

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org forums.


The easiest is to find a web site that displays what you want in a HTML Table

You can then link to that table using the Data, From Web tab

Browse to the site and select the table

Apply

You can configure that to update at given time increments


The issue is finding a site with the right format
