I hope you are each having a wonderful day. I need help, helping a colleague of mine...


There is a workbook containing a single worksheet. This form is sent to 250 project managers. They all complete their copy with performance data and emails it to my colleague. All columns and criteria are the same.

A By collating all separate sheets into one book with each tab having the name of the project to enable a unique identifier. Then =INDIRECT.... maybe?


Q One or more columns, which ones, with what values?

A One column. The data is in column D. Numeric values and a small amount of text (depending on what the question is they are answering)

Q And the rows from each workbook?

A The spreadsheet they fill in has 25 rows.

A Sorry - I don't understand this.

a) you have 250 workbooks with one sheet with data in 25 rows of column D: D1:D25?, what about cells in range A1:C25 at least?

b) you want to summarize them in a unique workbook, adding a sheet by received workbook (with the project's name): that's 250 sheets, isn't it?

c) why not summarize those 250x25 cells of data in only one worksheet? either 250x25 or 25x250 format size, plus titles

d) target row from/to, defined in b)/c)
