Align Data Bars To Cells

Hi all,

Using Excel 2007

I have forumlas that summarize A/R data by Invoice Type

I then inserted a data bar chart on the resulting values

I tweaked the bar chart and got it looking good

Now I'm tring to align the data bar chart to the values so it almost appears that the values are on the Y Axis

I'm very close, but it is not quite right.

I looked at this tutorial and mine is very similar, but this one is not quite right either.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

To get the bars to line up perfectly use Alt and Drag, but do it on the Plot Area, not the Chart Area.

Make the Chart slightly bigger than the rows where the data is

Select the Plot Area, the rectangular area within the chart that contains the Bars (not the chart area)

Hold the Alt Key as you drag either sides or corder handles to snap the Plot Area to the cell bouundaries.

If you have 4 rows of data and 4 Bars they sghould all now be lined up perfectly.

Select the Chart Area and get rid of Borders and set Background Color to None
