Adding and rotating a Z axis

On the internet, I am unable to find an example of an Excel chart with a Z Axis. On some forums, it is said that any 3-D chart has a Z-axis, however, if I go to the layout tab of a 3-D column chart, click format selection for any part of the chart, click on 3-D rotation and look under Rotation, I have the ability to change the rotation for the x and y axis, but the z-axis is greyed out. Does this mean that not all 3-D Excel charts have a z axis?

What are examples of Excel charts where you can rotate the Z axis?

Thank you.

I am not aware that any chart types use the Z axis rotation

I always just assumed it would come along in a new version of Excel but it never has.

It is probably there as a Chart is just an Object in the Excel object model

If you insert Smart Art or Word Art, you get the ability to Use Z Axis rotation

Thank you. I was able to find a program that produces Excel charts with a Z-axis. I pasted the YouTube link information below.

"ThreeDify Excel Grapher, Tutorial 1.1: Specifying X,Y and Z."

I brought this up to learn if there were less complicated Excel charts that can have a Z-axis added.
