Addin Location\Directory

Hi

I had created excel addin long back ( WIN XP ) time. I kept it as C:\Windows\Add.xla .This file contain many user define functions. Now with WIN 8 , users have restricted rights in C:\Windows directory so now I am keeping adding as C:\Lib\Add.xla. Every time we open excel file which contain UDF from add.xla , we are forced to update link. Is there any shorter way we can update link automatically to this new location ?

Hi Nitin,

Give it a try with Data > edit links > change data source.

Currently we are doing Data>edit link>change data source.

What I am looking for is any sort of event based programming so that whenever a file referring to old addin open , Data>edit link>change data source command applied automatically.
