Hello this is my first post here. I am implementing VMWARE virtualization for a large non-profit organization. I have an accounting user who opened a spreadsheet and then tried to open the same spreadsheet again in read only mode to compare its contents (I know it doesn't make sense!). He was able to do this in earlier versions but now cannot.

Is there a setting that would allow me to open a spreadsheet and then open the same spreadsheet in read-only mode, allowing me to put both views of the same file side-by-side to compare. Again, I know it doesn't make any sense. And yes, he could simply open a blank spreadsheet and copy the contents of the original file to the blank copy and do the same thing.
