David, if you look at the rule in the other cells, eg I7, the formula for CF is still referencing E4 & E7: See my problem :/ ...

I've looked though previous posts but can't see the answer to this one - when a CF rule involves a referenced cell, using format paint doesn't update the cell references (as happens when copying formulae) but maintains the original cell reference in the rule, so the CF in the pasted cells is not...

This is so simple that I must be really dense but I can't figure our how to do this - I want the whole row containing the active cell to be highlighted so I can see what I am working on, all the way across. Can someone tell me how to do this please?
